Hand-forged-knife. Frontier Belt Knife. Blade Steel: 1095 high carbon steel, tempered to a Rockwell 59-60 Construction: Partial Tang Dimensions: Blade 4 1/2" - Handle 4 1/2" - Overall 9" - Width 1 1/8" - Thickness 1/8" Handle: Crown antler. Secured with two solid brass pins. (under rawhide wrap) Rawhide and cord ferrule. Sheath: Period style. Rawhide wrap over 6-7 oz. veg tan leather with welt. Decorated with a deer hide fringe and trade beads. Finish: Aged finish. Special Features: Filework on spine of blade. This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago.
