Period Hand-Forged Belt Knife Blade Steel: Forged from a 5/8" diameter rod of O-1 high carbon tool steel,tempered to a Rockwell 59-60 Construction: Partial Tang Dimensions: Blade 4 3/8" - Handle 4 5/8" - Overall 9" - Width 1" - Thickness: approx. .220" Haft/Handle: Deer leg bone, secured with two solid brass pins. (hidden under the rawhide wrap) Sheath: Hand stitched 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Lightly antiqued. Linework. Finish: Aged finish with hammer marks. Period correct. Special Features. Filework This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition.
