Hand-Forged, Frontier-Knife. Blade Steel: Antique file. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 60-61 Construction: Full tang. Dimensions: Blade 5 7/8" - Handle 4 1/2" - Overall 10 3/8" - Width 1 1/2" - Thickness 0.20" Handle: Curly maple scales secured with four solid brass pins. Sheath: Hand stitched 8-9 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Finish: Aged finish. Period correct. Special Features: Filework on spine of blade. Hammer marks. Some file teeth still visible. Tapered tang. This period style frontier belt/camp knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition.
