Hand-Forged, Frontier Bowie-Knife. Blade Steel: Antique file. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 59-60 Construction: Full tang. Tapered tang from 1/4" thick down to 1/8" Dimensions: Blade 6 3/8" - Handle 4 3/8" - Overall 10 3/4" - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness 1/4" Handle: Curly maple secured with five iron pins. Sheath: Right hand cross draw sheath. Worn on the left side. Hand stitched 8-9 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Finish: Aged finish. Period correct. File teeth partially visible. This Bowie is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-forged in the traditions of long ago.
