Hand-Forged Period Style - French Pistol Grip Belt Knife Blade: Hand forged. 1095 high carbon steel. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 59-60 Construction: Full tang Dimensions: Blade 5 7/8" - Handle 4 5/8" - Overall 10 1/2" - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness 1/8" at the spine. Scales: Butternut, secured with three iron pins, rawhide wrap and a cord ferrule. Decorated with iron tacks. Sheath: Hand stitched 6-7 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Decorated with a rawhide wrap, trade beads, copper cones and a buffalo hide fringe. Finish: Forge finish with hammer marks. Special Features. File work on spine. This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great period-knife for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition.
