Hand-Forged Frontier Belt Knife

Blade: L6 high carbon tool steel. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 61-62.

Construction: Partial Tang.

Dimensions: Blade 7 1/8" - Handle 5" - Overall 12 1/8 "  - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness  1/8"

Grip: Crown antler secured with two iron pins and a rawhide/cord bolster.

Sheath: Handstitched 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with a welt.

Finish: Forged finish.  Period correct.

Special Features. Reminiscent of an 18th. Century long knife. Antler tip clasp.

This handcrafted custom knife is stamped with my maker's mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. A nice hand-crafted frontier style knife. Very sharp.
