Blade Steel: L6 high carbon tool steel. Tempered to a Rockwell 59-60
Construction: Full Tang
Dimensions: Blade 3 1/2" - Handle 4" - Overall 8 1/8" (7 1/2" excluding forged lanyard) - Width 1 1/16" - Thickness 1/8" (spine)
Scales: Hard curly maple, secured with four iron pins.
Sheath: Frontier style. Handstitched 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Full rawhide wrap. Decorated with a deer hide fringe and brass tacks.
Finish: Aged finish with forge marks.
Special Features: Forged lanyard. File work on spine of blade. This hand-forged-knife comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A very nice reproduction of a traditional frontier piece. A knife that will take and keep a good edge. It has never been carried or used. Functional as well as beautiful. Great for many jobs around the camp or home. A classic design. Very sharp!
