Mountain Man Belt Knife.

Blade Steel: Hand forged from a 1075 high carbon steel hex bar, tempered to a Rockwell 58-59

Construction: Hidden Tang.

Dimensions: Blade 6 1/8" - Handle 5 3/8" - Overall 11 1/2" - Width 1 1/4 - Thickness 5/32"

Handle/Grip: Weathered birch, secured with two iron pins and a mild steel ferrule.

Sheath: Handstitched. 7-8 oz. veg tan leather with welt. "Antiqued."

Finish: Forge finish with hammer marks.

This knife comes with a certificate of authenticity.

A very nice reproduction, hand-forged mountain man belt knife that will take and keep a good edge. It has never been carried or used. Functional as well as beautiful. Great for period re-enactors of the early fur trade era.
