Period Style, French Pistol Grip Hunter - Custom Knife. Blade Steel: 1095 high carbon steel, tempered to a Rockwell 59-60 Construction: Full Tang Dimensions: Blade 4 5/8" - Handle 4 1/2" - Overall 9 1/8" - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness 1/8" (spine) Scales: curly maple, secured with 3 solid brass pins and a rawhide/cord ferrule. Sheath: Hand stitched 6-7 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Finish: Aged finish. Special Features: File work on spine of blade. Rawhide wrap and a cord ferrule on knife handle. "Antiqued" leather sheath with linework. This hand-forged-knife comes with a certificate of authenticity. A very nice reproduction of a traditional frontier hunter custom knife.
