Custom Hand-Forged Bowie-Knife.
Blade Steel: "antique" farrier's rasp, tempered to a Rockwell 58-59
Construction: Hidden tang
Dimensions: Blade 7 1/16" - Handle 5 3/16" - Overall 12 1/4" - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness 3/16"
Grip: Hard maple with some curls.
Sheath: Handstitched 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with a welt. Rawhide wrap, Buckskin fringe.
Features: File work on the spine.
Finish: Light patina, period correct.
This hand-forged-knife is stamped with my maker's mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Great period style Bowie knife for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. Very sharp blade.
