Custom Hand-forged Period Style French Trade Knife Blade Steel: L6 high carbon tool steel, tempered to a Rockwell 59-60 Construction: Full Tang Dimensions: Blade 6 5/8" - Handle 4 3/8" - Overall 11" - Width 1 1/4" - Thickness 5/32" Scales: Beautiful, curly maple pistol grip scales, secured with three solid brass pins. Rawhide wrap with a cord ferrule. Decorated with brass tacks. Sheath: Cross draw sheath. Hand stitched 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with welt, covered with a rawhide wrap and decorated with a deer hide fringe. Finish: Satin aged finish with forge markings. Period correct. Special Feature: File worked blade. This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago.
