#T210 - POLLED TOMAHAWK
Hand-forged, custom polled tomahawk
This is a brand new, original, historically influenced, hand-made tomahawk that I forged in my blacksmith shop, The North River Forge. I specialize in hand-forged reproductions of the 18th and 19th centuries. They have an authenticity rarely found in other maker's work. Each piece is unique.
Dimensions: Head overall 6 1/8" - Cutting edge 2 5/16" wide.
Steel: 1018 head with a piece of 1095 welded for the cutting edge. Traditional 18th century blacksmithing methods.
Haft: Ash 18" long, decorated with leather and rawhide with brass tacks.
Finish: Aged finish. Period correct.
Special Features: Polled head. Filework on the front and side of the blade. Leather sheath.
This custom-tomahawk is stamped with my maker's mark NR.
Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. It is a reminder of an era past. A very nice tomahawk that will take and keep a good edge. It has never been carried or used. Functional as well as beautiful. A classic 18th. Century design.
Great for the historic re-enactor or collector. Fully functional.
