Hand-Forged, Period Style Coureur Des Bois Belt Knife.

Blade Steel: L6 high carbon tool. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 59-60

Construction: Full tang.

Dimensions: Blade 5 3/8" - Handle 4 5/8" - Overall 10" - Width 1 3/8" - Thickness 1/8" at the spine.

Scales: Hard maple, secured with four iron pins and a leather bolster.

Sheath: Handstitched. Rawhide over 7-8 oz. Veg tan leather with welt. Decorated with a deer hide fringe and brass tacks.

Finish: Forge marks. Period correct.

This period style trade knife is stamped with my maker's mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-forged in the traditions of long ago. Very sharp!
