Hand forged frontier Bowie knife with a rawhide sheath

Hand-Forged Belt Bowie Knife.

Blade: 1095 high carbon steel. Differentially tempered. Cutting edge tempered to Rc 60-61.

Construction: Hidden Tang.

Dimensions: Blade 7" - Handle 5 1/8" - Overall 12 1/8" - Width 1 1/4" - Thickness 1/8"

Grip: Ash, secured with two iron pins.

Sheath: Handstitched 7-8 oz. veg tan leather with a rawhide wrap and a deerhide fringe.

Finish: Forge finish. Period correct.

Special Features. File work.

This hand forged knife is stamped with my maker's mark “RN” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. A nice hand-crafted frontier style trade knife. Very sharp.
